Code of Conduct

The SC4RC Conference is a community event designed to foster learning, collaboration and networking. We value a civil and respectful environment that encourages the free exchange of scientific ideas.

All attendees are expected to adhere to the CERN Code of Conduct.

Academic integrity and commercial promotion
To ensure a focused environment for scientific exchange and collaboration, this is a non-commercial event. Any form of unsolicited commercial activity, including direct marketing, sales pitches and the distribution of promotional materials, are strictly prohibited.

Participants engaging in commercial activities that disrupt the scholarly focus of our sessions will be asked to leave the conference immediately, and will not be eligible for reimbursement of their registration fees.

Professional conduct and reporting

Should a lapse of professional decorum occur (such as discrimination or harassment), attendees are encouraged to bring issues, in a confidential setting, to peter.millington@manchester.ac.uk and anna.cook@cern.ch. They will suggest ways to redress the matter, and will counsel the parties involved. They may, after due consideration, take action as they deem appropriate, including, in severe cases, expulsion from the conference.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the academic integrity and collaborative spirit of the event.
