Going to the hotel

Some words about tickets:
- In order to go from Nürnberg to Erlangen, you will need to buy a ticket "Tarifstufe 4" (3.80 €). If you just want to travel within Erlangen, you only need tickets "Tarifstufe K" (1.60 €).

There are 2 sorts of multi-tickets that may be interesting for you:
- the so called "10er Streifenkarte" (9.40 €): it is a strip of 10 rectangles, that you can fold in order to stamp as much rectangles as you need (2 rectangles for "Tarifstufe K", 4 rectangles for "Tarifstufe 4")
- the so called "5er Streifenkarte (Kurzstrecke)" (6.80 €): it is a strip of 5 rectangles, that corresponds to 5 tickets "Tarifstufe K" (you stamp 1 rectangle for each trip, you can only use it for "Tarifstufe K")
- So, for example, if you arrive at (and leave from) Nürnberg and stay 3 days, you will need 2 x "Tarifstufe 4" (Nürnberg <-> Erlangen) and 6 x "Tarifstufe K" (Hotel <-> Institute), which is exactly what you get with one "10er Streifenkarte" (10 = 2 x 4 + 1 x 2) and one "5er Streifenkarte (Kurzstrecke)" (5 = 5 x 1). However, the "10er Streifenkarte" costs 0.20 € more than 2 x "Tarifstufe 4" + 1 x "Tarifstufe K".

- Note that it is allowed to share a "Streifenkarte" between many passengers, each passenger stamping as much rectangles as he need.
From Nürnberg Airport:

The easiest way:
- take subway U-Bahn U2 direction "Nürnberg Röthenbach"
- stop at "Nürnberg Hbf" (Nürnberg Main Station)
- follow instructions bellow to go from Nürnberg Main Station to the hotel

The cheapest way (with this option you only need to buy a ticket "Tarifstufe 3" (2.90 €) or to stamp 3 rectangles of a "10er Streifenkarte"):
- take bus 33 direction "Nürnberg Buch Süd"
- stop at "Nürnberg Am Wegfeld" (beware, this bus station is scattered over a large crossroads!)
- take bus 30 or 30E direction "Erlangen Hugenottenplatz"
- stop at "Erlangen Hbf" (Erlangen Main Station)
- follow instructions bellow to go from Erlangen Main Station to the hotel
From Nürnberg Main Station:
- take train R-Bahn R2 direction "Bamberg" OR S-Bahn S1 direction "Bamberg" OR S-Bahn S1 direction "Forchheim"
- stop at "Erlangen Hbf" (Erlangen Main Station)
- follow instructions bellow to go from Erlangen Main Station to the hotel
From Erlangen Main Station:
- you can walk to the hotel, approx 0.9km -> see From_erlangen_mainstation_to_AB_Hotel.pdf

if you prefer, you can take the bus:
- take bus 283 direction "Dechsendorfer Weiher" OR bus 286 direction "Mönaustr." OR bus 287 direction "Mönaustr." or "Westfriedhof" OR bus 288 or 289 direction "Waldkrankenhaus" OR bus 293 direction "In der Reuth" or "Donato-Polli-Str." or "Mönaustr."
- stop at "Erlangen Martin-Luther-Platz"
