Chiara's note (updated on the 09/05/2025):

BSRTMB Beam 1 - operation feedbacks:

  • ask availability of the alignment team for a measurement of the tank during TS1 --> Daniele/William

BSRTMBs Beam 1 & 2, HL integration:

  • check of the beam aperture from D4 to the BSRTMB tank --> any aperture smaller than our tank is a potential restriction to light --> William --> we complete the integration first and then we ask for approval to Riccardo.
  • Centre the tanks longitudinally wrt to the existing carrotage, optimising its position wrt to space availability for the optical line --> William + Chiara + HL Integration. Information passed onto the Integration team and vacuum. BTV integration still to be done. Meeting to be set up next week and then meeting with vacuum is scheduled on Thursday.
  • keep the enlarged aperture of the vacuum chambers to a DN100 --> need to move on with the ECR writing and approval. VSC will not proceed with the buying of the raw material till it is approved and for DN100 tubes the lead time is more than a year.
  • the vacuum chambers will be NEG coated, any need of aC coating to reduce the signal from reflected photons? --> Chiara to check with Marton the possibility to use SynRad. Note: I've contacted him, they schedule a training in september. For a 1 to 1 training he wanted to check with his boss.. I doubt he is available for helping with the study but I'll keep asking. In the meantime I said I'll go to the training.
  • Integrate a second vacuum chamber with a port, same as the BTVSI, as close as possible to the D4, this is used to mimick the light during installation and align the BSRTMBs. --> see notes above.
  •  Integration to be optimised wrt to the shottky on B2. The swap is not absolutely crucial for the light, but the integration of a new tank is. --> William + Chiara + HL Integration
  • Study of the tunnel vibrations is crucial to understand the stability of the optical line. Contact M. Guinchard for equipping a dummy line to be installed in YETS in the carrotage. --> Chiara, William. TBD
  • Check with transport the envelop available considering option 3 and 4 of the optical line (so below and above the TIM) --> Chiara/William --> meeting on 12th May.
  • Check James is still happy with rotating the racks 90deg ---> Chiara --> he is happy.
  • optical line specs: no need of vacuum, but light and air tight with two viewports. As much as possible vibration free. Space reservation volume 30cm, depending on the cable occupancy of the existing carrotage.

New Actions (09/05/2025):

  • Vibrations --> we need to monitor during the run, so that all services are ON and we measure vibrations during the run mode. Check feasibility of a monitoring during the run with M. Guinchard. Check the possibility to anticipate the installation during the second TS of the LHC. --> Kia/William
  • William to set up a meeting with Daniele and Stephane to check the BTV integration wrt to the LSS4 interbeam axis.

Stephane's note (updated on the 09/05/2025)
Jan, Daniele, Andreas, Aurelie, Chiara, Stephane, William

BSRTMB design followup:
Answer for space to go straight in the carrotage next Monday.
Idea to extract vetically the light instead H --> no need as we need a mirror for steering.
Should a test without covers along for the tunnel distance be done in ISR ?
Should the ECR started - not forgetting BSRTR
Preparation for test in ISR PSF with and without covers
Vibration testing in machine when running ! William contact D.Guinchard
Check if BSRTR fits in the not enlarged beam separation layout

BSRT commissioning:
Simulation by Daniele to confirm the 200nm deformation creates exactly what we saw
Green laser alignment explained confirming the good alignment
BSRL status:
- New system: angular steeing of coupled lens+fiber to optimize the amplitude (previouly, detector was move in x and y)
- B2 new system works well with 30% coupling measured
- B1 was 10% coupling and now is 80% after the intervention (Daniele + Andreas). Factor 100 is missing likely from backend equipment then
- From scan, now B1 seems more focused than B2 but lower signal still...
Next step:
- Send known laser into both fiber and read TDC to define if the issue is on fibre or DAQ side
- Try testing green lasr and scan intensity with OD filters to check linearity
- Hardware (Miguel) will check the electronics splitter there

Pellicle beam splitter issue:
- Stephane broke the last 2" spellicle splitter
- Setup was replaced and improved
Buy:
2x 50/50 pellicle 3" + support for pellicles !
2x 3" 8/92 Plate beam splitter instead of pellicle type
No need for 2" pellicle beam splitter anymore

BSRH update by Jan:
BSRT/BSRH splitter installed and Daniele is not complaining :D
-New FEC installed (cfv-us45-bsrhb2)
-- All basler (tgt) cameras moved to the new FEC
-- Main camera can run > 10Hz at FF (BTVDC deployed)
- Installation of a CM illumination under way (important for final focusing)
- Expert GUI now uses both RDA and JAPC for communication

- Sample data taking: 2/3% fluctuation --> improvement (intensifier)
- More tests explained and getting prepared
