Description
On 16th March 2009, HRH Princess MahaChakriSirindhornvisited CERN, Switzerland. On that occasion, the Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation of physicists from Thai universities and research institutes in the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC Accelerator was signed between the Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization) and the CMS. The CERN School Thailand is one of activities under this EOI. Under the CERN School Thailand, lectures and workshops explaining the knowledge on particle physics will be organized, as well as an interview with senior students who have attended a research project at CERN. It is a starting point for the clustering of experts in particle physicists in Thailand.
