Not much to report. DNS issues last Thursday caused some red on the SAM tests for Echo endpoints. Both Thursday and Friday saw some 'gaps' in the tests themselves - turned out that ETF needed restarting at CERN again. Have got corrections applied to the availability metrics for this second issue and requested the person in charge of the tests to please investigate why they sometimes fail to run. Katy anticipated RAL T1 going into drain over the weekend and prevented it. 

Jobs and transfers - business as usual.

LHCb issues:

• Optimizer problems at CERN during the weekend => drain
• SandboxStore problems today => drain again + many rescheduled jobs
  
  

RAL issues:

• DNS issues last Thursday resulted in a handful of failed uploads to ECHO from outside RAL
  • Minimal impact
• ETF cvmfs tests were intermittently failing at RAL
  • IPv6 ACL was missing for squids, fixed now

13:50 → 13:55 ALICE Operations Report

Tom B noticed that ALICE jobs sometimes end up in the GPU queue. Turned out to be ETF tests -- due to a bug in the setup, the queue attribute was missing in the JDL. That resulted in random selection of the queue on submission. Fixed now (see GGUS:1001830 for details)

13:55 → 14:00 LSST Operations Report

  • Changes tracked finally from US, applied all changes needed
  • Some issues when tried to run jobs still
• butler database
  • Migrated to proxmox and butler db moved to new db
  • Testing from VOBox shows all is correct - attempted to run jobs from dp2_prep but failed

 

Jobs: Some jobs from LSST to verify multisite workflows - dp2_prep not attempted to be run until today
