Parallel Talk Higgs Boson 5C: (Parallel) Higgs I

Speaker

Tatsuya Masubuchi (University of Tokyo (JP))

Description

The experimental results of the Standard Model Higgs searches with the ATLAS experiment, in a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 4.9 fb-1 of pp collisions collected at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV at the LHC, are presented. Several channels contributing to the sensitivity in the most challenging low-mass region are discussed. The exclusion limits at the 95% confidence level are given as a function of the Higgs boson mass. The observed small excess of events above the background expectation is addressed.
