General news

• DRD6 Calo collaboration meeting, Apr 7 -10, https://indico.cern.ch/event/1618975/timetable/?view=standard  
• DRD6 has called a readiness review meeting for the testbeam activities under its hat:
  • first slot on Apr 2, 3-7 PM (CEST)
  • second slot during the week of Apr 20th -> MPGD-HCAL PS test beam review will be scheduled during that week; I can try to summarize where we are and the goals we have on collaboration with CRILIN

 

Test beams 

• DRD1 test beam:
  • goal: 
    • 50x50cm2 MPGD-HCAL characterization with VMM3a in terms of efficiency (HV scan), uniformity
    • 40x50cm2 (one with and one without) capacitive sharing RHUM chambers characterization with VMM3a
    • 10x10cm2 RWELL + TGC
  • electronics:
    • now at Bari: 8 RHUM, FEC+DVMM plus 16 Hybrids, 2 (FEC+DVMM), 4 PBXs and 24 LV cables (bought by Bari and CERN)
    • idea to validate and setup (triggered mode) all the new electronics before moving it back to CERN
  • mechanical structure:
    • Weizmann supports: most probably we need to slightly modified them; I've the impression the anchor points conflict with the chamber layout
    • RHUM structures: Givi would like to check if he can easily accomodate the chambers in their setup 
      
• DRD6 testbeam 
  • electronics:
    • in April we will do a test in Frascati to try to synchronize the 2 data acquisition or try to acquire SiPM signal with VMM3a
  • mechanical structure:
    • mechanical changes in the drawing are progressing to:
      • fix fans for the various sides equipped with electronics
      • hold in position the 50x50cm2
      • hold hybrids and SHV connectors
