Currency in Switzerland
Currency in Switzerland is Swiss Francs (CHF). While some places may accept euros, it is best to have CHF if you make cash payments.
Electricity
The voltage in Switzerland is 230V/50Hz. Switzerland uses type C (2-pin) and type J (3-pin) plugs.

Connect to the “CERN-Visitors” Wi-Fi network
You will be redirected to the “CERN Visitor Wi-Fi” registration portal. If not, open a web browser and you will see the registration portal.
This portal provides registration-free access to a limited number of publicly available CERN websites.
For full internet access, you need to accept the CERN computing rules and register by providing your email address and a mobile phone number to which an access code will be sent by SMS.
Once you have received and entered the access code, you will be able to access remote web sites (via http and https on standard tcp ports only) as well as some other authorised services such as e-mail, VPN and SSH.

Smoking regulations
Smoking, including vaping, is prohibited in enclosed spaces and close to entrances and bus-or shuttle stops, as well as on restaurant terraces during lunchtime.
