NEWS +++ LCG 52a released --- LHCb - uses it, problems with tarballs for win32 (Action Hubert - report exact problem) CMS - will use it probably with 1.6.0 series (1/2 weeks from now) ATLAS - using 51, requested 52b which will contain COOL performance improvements. Math bug report --- eta not calculated correctly, this fix will be part of 5.16, patch for 5.14 necessary? Round table +++ pyCMT --- The name in LCGCMT will be "pyCMT" instead of "CMTpy", Hubert will contanct Vincent Garonne and discuss further deveopments of the python wrapper with him. Nigthlies --- Dev2 slot is again available for usage, there were problems with the scripts last week boost 1.34 --- requested by CMS, the build configuration in LCGCMT has been produced, the installation of this specific version is pending. CMS --- currently building against Geant4 8.3 for validation, results next week. ATLAS --- - also testing currently Geant4 8.3 - interested in the gcc version of slc5 to have a preview - Action Stefan osx104_ppc --- For the nightlies we observe problems in POOL and CORAL win32_vc71 --- The full stack for win32 is not yet built correctly.
