SPSX-PM-MG-0063 v.0.1 "LS3 Logistics" by Deepti Kandhol in status: Engineering Check

      BA80
considering the significant transport activities already taking place and planned to and from Building 954,

From September onwards, a large number of NA-CONS activities will start, including works in front of BA80. In addition, the entire area will be fenced off as a Category 1 worksite, and access will require prior authorization.

Would it be possible to use the other doors located on the south-west side of Building 954?

      Request EN-CV-Jani Lehtinen

I am writing because there have recently been discussions regarding the reservation of long-term storage space for demineralized water cartridges in Building 954. I replied to Thomas that we had not submitted a request because, from our perspective, this activity is not related to LS3 project storage but rather to the day-to-day operation of our EN/CV installations. The management of demineralized water cartridges has been governed by an agreement between EN/CV and RP for many years.

Unless I am mistaken, there are currently 95 demineralized water cartridges stored in Building 954. The cartridges can be sent to Building 378 for processing once the dose rate is below 0.1 µSv at 10 cm. However, I am not aware of the current status.

With the work on the SPS ED stations, we will need to place approximately 15 additional cartridges into storage. I am not aware of the current situation regarding the PS or LHC stations.

      Support Structure Calculation and Validation
On 09/06, SCE and HSE held a meeting and agreed on the additional items to be included in the calculation report. The calculation report is almost complete and is expected to be finalized by 12/06. Once completed, the document will be submitted to HSE for review and validation.
