General agenda of recurrent meetings presented:
- Overview of planning (short term and long term)
- Integration
- Power distribuiton
- DC cabling
- Decabling
- Optical fibres
- Cabling
Planning:
Integration: (detailed follow-up at the dedicated monday meeting)
o Cable routing from URx5 to ULx3 not yet released, it is possible to work but EL has to take care not to impact the Z module
Solvedo Cable trays to be lowered at the level of separation door: not yet defined to be re-discussed at the integration meeting.
Probably solved. To be confirmed by Alejandro (CV)o Installation of structure for cables between TE-MPE racks: to be clarified as not fully clear, EL to contact TE-MPE, and it will be discussed at the integration meeting
Solved, solution agreed, local cabling will be done once the racks in placeo Flexwell cables: very fragile, HL asks to install as late as possible and after to protect with a cover. To be discussed later, Diogo is studying the planning (proposal: keep for next follow up meeting)
Diogo to finalize the check of the design of the cable trays.
The campaigns are scheduled; the dates will be adapted to the works in the URs.
Joao will confirm that RF is going to purchase and install the patch panels.o Study for the support for CP corrector magnet shall also take into account the power boxes installed for power distribution and requested by WP6a
Solvedo NEW: Change in UPS size and proposed change in layout to be integrated and modifications required at the level of the hardware to be validated/integrated prior to execution.
The works are executed by EN-EL with the support of EN-ACE (Jordi), warning about his workload. The required modification shall not impact the connectivity works ongoing for TE-CRG
Power distribution:
o SLDs and design drawings of P1 and P5 have been elaborated with the project to give visibility on the actual status and planned progress.
o A list of tasks of upcoming events is regularly reported form both P1 and P5 at site coordination meeting and HLTCM meeting and so far works well
o EL to confirm the delivery dates of UPS and CPS, and to promptly report in case of delays, as the installation and commissioning dates have been booked in the planning
CPS: delivery confirmed, works scheduled.
UPS to be confirmed, no dates received, Mario to check and send an updateDC cabling:
o Readiness of material: HL asks a status of the readiness and the procurement plan, to see if there are possible optimization or anticipation to the planning that can be proposed, as for WP6B some works related to the installation of the CDBs and power converters racks might be advanced as it is the case in L1
Installation of metallic structures in 1L done, WCC inserted in 1L. All material needed for all other points seems to be available including clamps. It would be useful to have a list of components readiness.
General request of HL for the material of the full scope WP17 DC cables: all material must be ordered with the required notice, and the subcontracted material to CERN groups (MME, ACE) must be monitored as the priority for them is elsewhereo Status of procurement of class 6 cables: DO prepared by next week, but possible use of single source (Druseidt) and simple DAI required (DO sent out). Some accessories got lost and a DAI is required rapidly, as the delay will impact the planning (solved, material found)
DO done, company selected, DAI in the hand of purchasing service. Delivery expected/needed by week 35 at the latest (to comply to the schedule mentioned in the point above.
o Cables for WCC temperature monitoring: integration Ok, missing the DIC to be launched
Action: EL-CS DC cables to send out the DIC, to be receive by the end of July to include the works in an existing campaign. Details of connections and functionality of these cables to be checked in the ECR, or sorted out if not there.o Insertion of WCC on CDB: probably Flohe will perform the heavy work, to be clarifed. Presentation tp be prepared on this subject at a next HLTCM
Two review meeting organised with Pauline. A robust planning related to WCC and ACC CL5/CL6 installation including metallic structures and Flohe and Comsa contribution has been defined. Validation and update of EN-ACE master schedule will be done by week 26. Works to start in point 5 in week 27.
Decabling: no specific points to discuss
Optical fibres: no specific points to discuss
Cabling:
- Cable CLIC could be patched - A mockup wil be built with 6 connections to be tested and validated
Technical meeting with EPC. EN-EL to provide samples for joint testing (Status?) No increase of section of the galleries segment. We remain to baseline 240 mm2. To be confirmed by MCF. Integration of joint position in UL alcove under definition with EN-EL. Action ongoing.
o TE-CRG added cables for heaters for teh RF cryomodules; the heat dissipation should be checked.
New DIC from CRG shared for point 5. EN-EL working on impact and implementation.
LSS5L received and integrated, no impact on the space occupation (impact on type and quantity of cables). LSS5R ongoing.
LSS1 other impacts as some cables are already installed, a “repairing” campaign could be required, an ECR could be necessary to track this additional slot in the planning.o Progress report is already containing the required information, but HL asks something that could be easily readable without misunderstanding by top management. EL and HL will discuss if and how a clearer template can be adopted.
Proposed tool for detailed follow up of each DIC status is good. Need to gather a bit of user experience to validate format.
High level reporting. To be clarified what can be proposed. Here an example worked out by HL that could be used as suggestion.

A compromise on the reporting has to be presented by EL and agreed with HL to cope with Diogo’s availability.
HL proposes sessions of meetings with the S262 contract manager to better address the feedback and the urgencies in view of LS3, EL to answer on the proposal.o HL asks to get visibility on the cable availability Vs. the cabling campaigns, and to be notified with notice if some material is late. As the framework is complex (many stakeholders including manufacturers, CERN Store, EL logistic manager, EL cabling team) EL is working on a new application to improve the visibility on the procurement.
For the short term (2026) campaigns, HL asks anyway to get a better visibility: as the follow up is done, EL will share the available files and regularly reporting on the base of these files
Verify if an enhanced support of CERN Store funded and triggered by HL could help (action Julien to check with EL logistic manager and check the possible options with Paolo)o Progress report on handover to users and acceptance of cables: there is no olistic tool doing it and today it can't be developed in EL; nevertheless EL will add a follow up on this on the SNOW Tickets, to ensure the tracking of this
Web application developed to follow up the acceptance. To be presented at one of the next TCC. The cable will be handed over only at the end of all required operations, including the acceptance of EL.o CC35 and CC45 are late according to baseline schedule. EL contractor gave the feedback that they are confident to catch-up the delay and as per today 4-5 days of delay overall have been announced. EL asked them to be notified on time in case of additional delay.
Pulling of cables has been done in time thanks to the introduction of extended working hours in week 16. At date cumulative delay of 6 weeks on cable testing after connectors installation. See previous point about the open issue on connectivity tasks.
o Modification of cable trays for DFHM P1 have been modified, to be checked for P5.
Point 1 done, thanks! Point 5 we will keep the current configuration.
o Modification of smoke extraction link US17/UR15 on vertical wall is required and undergoing, to be checked for P5. Done, Thanks!
o NEW: Additional rack space in UA17/UA13 to cope with additional space requirements asked by TE-VSC in the patch panel racks. Two options under study vertical extension of one of the baseline rack or additional rack to be integrated.
Three options proposed by EL. TE-VSC will send their commentso NEW: Additional hours for Comsa due to worksite unavailability: above the 10% of overcost, a new OSVC is produced.
EL will check the best way to track this, and WP15 starts porposing a dedicated WU for each type of activity where to assign this additional cost.
