About this event
Welcome to the Guenakh's Legacy conference, organized to celebrate the profound scientific and human impact of Distinguished Professor Guenakh Mitselmakher. Thirty years ago, Professor Mitselmakher founded the University of Florida’s hadron collider group, building a world-class physics program that has since shaped the careers of about 80 outstanding graduate student and postdoc alumni of the group.
This conference brings together past and present scientists who have contributed to this program, particularly through the CDF and CMS experiments. Presentations will highlight attendees' research experiences at UF—perhaps, interwoven with personal memories of Guenakh and fellow group members—as well as their subsequent professional journeys, and/or whatever else they consider worthwhile sharing at this grand reunion event.
Beyond the academic sessions, the conference offers a meaningful opportunity and ample time for alumni to socialize, catch up, and reconnect.
