Description
An inclusive jet multiplicity ratio is sensitive to the strong coupling constant alpha_S and has reduced sensitivity to the uncertainties due to parton distribution functions.
The ATLAS data are used to determine the strong coupling’s strength at the highest energy scales. The results probe the consistency of the running of the coupling as predicted by QCD.
