Present: Fernando, Oliver, Jim, Frank, Svetozar, Frank, Clara, Bobby, Danny, Francisca, Manuel, Stefan and Wayne
1) XML CTRL Extension
Danny presented the contents of his first release of the FW component for XML parsing. It was also noted that ETM will also release such a CTRL extension in 3.7 (we only found out by chance). Therefore, Danny also highlighted the differences between the two implementations. Wayne and Manuel will discuss this with ETM and see whether ETM will provide the missing features c.f. Danny's implementation.

Manuel noted that it will be useful to provide a SOAP interface, e.g. for use of the central authenticaton mechanism. Frank believes that the XML string creation/parsing is sufficient.
2) Oracle Archiving Schema
Discussions were held between representatives of the various experiments concerning the ETM Oracle schema and in particular the fact that if a dpId of a dpe changes then the corresponding archive would be lost. This is felt to be unacceptable. Hence, a method for ensuring that the archive is not lost is necessary.
Frank described the ETM schema as well as the current CMS ones before proposing a new schema. His slides can be found in InDiCo:

Manuel had a counter-proposal. It was agreed that the various db experts discuss the various options and make a joint proposal to a future FWWG meeting (ideally in the near future). Wayne would then propose to discuss this with ETM with the aim of having them agree to implement it, or at least maintain it. A discussion with ETM is foreseen for the middle of September.
3) A.o.B.
There were some problems with PVSS 3.6 SP2 mentioned. Manuel suggested that the experiments perform some test with this version to identify any major issues to be reported to ETM for timely resolution.
Fernando enquired as to the status of the central logging feature developed by ATLAS. A version exists but the publishing via DIM only exists for Windows currently. The Linux version should be available soon. This does not publish PVSS debug messages but only error messages.
