Travel Information
The Lisbon airport is located inside town, about 5 km away from IST. The airport is connected to the centre of town by Metro, buses and taxi. IST and its neighbourhood, where most of the Hotels we list are located, are close to the Metro stations Alameda, Saldanha or S. Sebastiao. A taxi from the airport to IST should cost around 10 euros or less. There is a small fee for the luggage. Taxi drivers in Lisbon are usually honest, however the airport seems to attract a special breed. Therefore, we strongly suggest you to go to the Departures, one floor up from Arrivals, if you plan to catch a taxi.
If you plan to reach Lisbon by train, there are two main train stations, namely "Gare do Oriente" and "Santa Apolónia", both connected to the Metro network (red and blue lines, respectively). Check the CP website for detailed information.
