The weekly meeting of the Software Process and Infrastructure project of the LCG/AA.

================================================== Ian McLaren + Actions done - Geant4 - Participated in the annual Geant4 workshop in England. - Geant4 testing. - Adapted the testing procedures to run on macsft002. It isn't - as automatic as other CERN Unix systems due to limitations - in AFS. The lack of a Fortran compiler (gfortran) means that - that the G3toG4 module is missing. - Cernlib - LHCB had problems with the system version of Lapack linked to - by the 64-bit Cernlib 2005 slc4_amd64_gcc34 in the lcg area, - due their requirement for the -fPIC option. Lapack and blas - have been recompiled with the same options as Cernlib and the - links in the lcg area replaced with these versions. + Next actions - Geant4 - Geant4 testing. - Prepare Geant4 9.0.ref02 development release. + Problems - Can we get gfortran on macsft002? ================================================== Yves Perrin + Actions done and progress - savannah: . fixed an xss vulnerability found by the CERN security group . in response to some remarks concerning the lack of privacy in Savannah, I modified the homepage and the online doc to highlight the various ways to restrict access (read and write) to part or all of a project to categories of users . in spite of the displayed warnings a number of users posts their requests to savcern instead of their projects - hypernews: . created new forums, renamed an existing one . moved users from CMS to Atlas HN - made a prototype script to present and compare versions of LCG entities such as configurations, projects, etc. It generate hntl pages dynamically from a page template and data fetched (temporarily) from an xml file (later from a database). + Next actions - improve the LCG presenter/comparator script in collaboration with Stefan and Piotr - update my linux system from SLC3 to SLC4 ================================================== Piotr Kolet + Actions done - make the LCGCMT a project on the status page - update the list of responsible for project, and make nighties send them notifications. - LCG_Builders for COOL, POOL, CORAL - LCG_Configuration LCGCMT_53c announcement and preparing LCGCMT_53d - Build SEAL 1.9.3 for windows. - several fixes in Nightlies (missing externals (gcc41, windows), etc) - add slc4_amd64_gcc34 in dev2 (As requested by Marco Clemencic) + Next actions - Choose the web framework to LCGCMT visualization - fix the mrtg problems, ~ move the ROOT co for nightly builds to svn + Problems - timeout in QMTest does not work on windows. ================================================== Stefan Roiser + Actions done - reading and answering mails after vacation - Installed "NotMac" an alternative to .Mac on sealg5 (trial mode) + Next actions - Continue with release scripts - Ktjet/Fastjet installations, requested by LHCb ==================================================
