Description
B-meson decays involving loop processes allow to search for the indirect effects of new physics beyond the Standard Model. One such channel is the decay B0->phiK*. The worlds largest sample of this decay has been collected by the LHCb experiment. The experimental observables that can be studied in this channel will be discussed together with the experimental challenges. First results based on the sample of 1fb-1 collected by LHCb during the 2011 LHC proton-proton run will be discussed together with future prospects.
