Description

As the heaviest particle of the Standard Model, the top has the largest coupling to the Higgs and is expected to play a special role in the theory of the electroweak breaking. For instance, the forward-backward asymmetry in t-tbar events recently observed at the Tevatron might be a signal of New Physics. A review of the many ways to look for New Physics through high precision measurements of top quark properties and BSM searches in events with top quarks performed at the hadron colliders is presented in this talk with the most recent results from the Tevatron and LHC
