Minutes of the WP1-EEPN2 2nd meeting meeting
11/4/2013.
Attendees:
Dobrzynski Ludwik, Nicolas De Filippis, Amr Radi, Sherif Elgammal, Ahmed Hammad, Mustafa Eshra, Reham Aly, Asmaa Fawzy, Shereen Aly, Waleed Ahmed, Walaa Mohammed, Ahmed Abd El-Khaleq, and Ahmed Ali Abdelalim.
Minutes and action list:
a) Ahmed, Nicola and Sherif setup a twiki and an indico page for including material for the activity of WP1. We willcontinue to fill
with material
b) Nicola/Ahmed, Sherif, Amr, etc. will prepare a set of questions for students about particle physics and particle detectors so we can
check their preparation and what is needed for them to study. We can provide suggestions for books also.
c) Amr Radi et al. would suggest the names of the students and how to organize them. Amr
will check who needs an account at Bari or GRIF and also will make us to access the tier3 in egypt.
d) We decided to have a tutorial session at an appropriate place in Cairo (suggested by sherif) to interact with students and work practically with them. We decided to have exercises about muons and electron (such as those at CMSDAS to get inspiration) and exercises about higgs and Zprime analysis. It could be nice also to get somebody explaining how to play with the software for GEM (Ahmed added a section on twiki for GEM simulation instructions).
e) For asking accounts for students on ENHEP grid send an email to Amr Radi.
f) Setup a doodle for the meeting time
Nicola and Pino propose to reach Cairo the May 3rd in the night and leave the May 9th very early morning.
