Description
Rare B-meson decays especially those mediated by flavor-changing neutral current transition provide an excellent, indirect probe to search for new physics beyond the standard model. We discuss the newest and most interesting results on rare semileptonic b --> s l+l- decays from the CMS experiment at LHC. The results are based on 5.2 fb^-1 of proton-proton collision data recorded at the center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV.
