Description
Based upon the color-dipole picture, simple closed analytic expressions for the
longitudinal and the transverse photo-absorption cross sections at low values of the Bjorken
variable of $x <0.1$ have been derived.
The color-dipole picture, constrained by experimental data, including the final results
from the H1 and ZEUS collaborations at HERA, as well as the recent results on the longitudinal
structure function will be shown.
