Description
Seminar will review the methods for evaluation of stability in Charge Sensitive Amplifiers (CSA) used in the front end input stages. The classical approach of the stability test in feedback amplifiers based on Bode plots (phase and gain margin measure) will be reviewed in the context of its applicability for the CSA amplifiers. Special attention will be put on the problems related to the identification of the feedback loop to be open as well as multiple loop cases. Seminar will also revise direct approach for stability analysis of circuits working in close loop configuration i.e. criteria for location of poles and zeroes of the transfer function. Some examples showing the effectiveness of PZ (Pole Zero) analysis in the real circuits will be given.
