Description
The HL-LHC with increased instantaneous luminosity and pile-up will place new demands on the LHC detector trigger systems. I'll present a description of these demands, the technical constraints, and some of the ideas for addressing the issues. The ideas include hardware track triggers implemented either in a two-stage “Region of Interest” driven design, or a single stage "Intelligent Tracker".
