    News === - The gcc 4.3.0 release is installed in the afs contrib area /afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/contrib/gcc/4.3.0 - The external stack has been rebuilt for osx105_ia32_gcc401 - Discussing the nexts Visual Studio compiler, we have the choice between VC8 (Visual Studio 2005) and VC9 (Visual Studio 2008). Bertrand successfully built ROOT with VC9 against our current externals (VC7.1) and it compiled and worked. Today in the AF we will propose to jump directly to VC9 then. - An LCG_Interface package for valgrind was put in LCGCMT. Round table === Atlas --- - LCGCMT 54b no problems found so far. Atlas release 14 is done with it. - Nightlies against dev3 on mac osx reported GaudiKernel library not found. CMS --- - fix for ROOT found, available in the 5.18-patches branch (details?). LHCb --- - nothing to report. Aob === -
