The weekly meeting of the Software Process and Infrastructure project of the LCG/AA.

================================================== Bertrand Bellenot + Actions done - Released ROOT v5.19.02 for the usual platforms + Next actions - Investigate externals and MSVC++ 9.0 ================================================== Yves Perrin + Actions done and progress - Savannah: . helped user with lost login and password . approved new projects . investigating a problem leading to the rejected savannah notification handling script to get stuck reporting about the same incident. After some investigation, I think I found the cause (particular sequence of events) and I'll fix it in the coming days. - Hypernews: . created new fora - Summer student . our request for the development of a test suite skeleton for Savannah was put in 'reserve' with no appropriate candidates. It has now been submitted to John Ellis in the context of the 'summer students from non-member states' program - adapted the python script which generates the LCG Configuration dynamic web pages to recent changes in the mysql database. - made a survey of the existing SPI web pages in view of having a consistent set based on a minimal number of servers and technologies. + Next actions - put the Savannah mods requested by Atlas Offline in production - complete the set of LCGCMT dynamic web pages with Stefan ================================================== Piotr Kolet + Actions done - on Wed 5th of March we ware hit by disc space problem on lxbuild21 again. I asked Bertrant Bellenot and Axel (as a main space consumers) to remove as much as they can. The same problem was noticed on lxbuild057 this weekend. - changing nightlies to respect the lower/upper case of the project name's directory (this is required to enable new external projects like geant4 or lhcb) - helping Karol with explanation of en architecture of Nightly Build System. - tuning macphsft06 to run nightlies correctly - setting the samba on macphsft06 and pchpsft01 for nightlies synchronization (use cifs instead of smbfs) - moving new nightlies to productions. - applying configuration changes in ROOT proposed by Bertrant (--enable-genvector) - porting all externals to osx105 - fixing nightlies, builders and showNightlies.py scripts to support osx105 - fixing nightlies and builders to enable GAUDIATLAS being build correctly. + Next actions - move all platform to new nightlies - prepare new nodes (if we receive them) for nightlies. + Problems - Disk space on build nodes ================================================== Stefan Roiser + Actions done - Writing reports (2007) and setting milestones for Q2/Q3 - External software installations - gcc 4.3.0 - dcache_client 1.8.0 - Macphsft06 moved into the printer room - Development of a bootstrapping utility using python freeze and setting up a interface package for cmt (for bootstrapping aswell).
