+ Actions done and progress
- Savannah:
. approved new projects
. deleted a few (old) spams injected in the News (the spam fighting
mechanism works only on the bugs, support requests, task, patch
and cookbook trackers).
. helped Dirk Hoffman to configure his project trackers
. helped Zachary Marshall with the various ways of searching/filtering
bugs
. iterated with a user who did not (properly) authorize Savannah
to post to his mailing list
- Hypernews:
. created new fora
. removed a user
- made various improvements to the nightlies summary page
(loading time, extended display criteria, keeping user preferences, etc)
- discussed with Axel and Stefan the content management system
ROOT is considering for their own use. It does not seem suited
to our requirements.
- iterated with several users who created websites and
did not respect CERN naming rules.
+ Next actions
- complete the set of LCGCMT dynamic web pages with Stefan
AOB
- will be absent four days next week

+ Actions done
- LCG Configurations
- LCG 54e - moving to a "new" dcache client (see below)
- Hardware
- lxbuild022 has been re-installed with slc4/ia32
- 4 new build nodes lxbuild11[3-6] have been received and installed by FIO, they
are used for nightly builds, development and virtual machines.
- lxbuild11[3-5] have been installed the "perfmon kernel"
- lxbuild116 has been installed the "xen kernel"
- a few lxbuild nodes were suffering from looping tests (POOL, ROOT), developers
have been informed
- http://cern.ch/spi-service suffered from a denial of service attack. The page was
moved to a separate host to isolate it in case of re-occurance.
- external software installed for Linux and Mac platforms
- gccxml 0.9.0_20080422
- Boost 1.35.0
- static Python 2.5
- fixing problems with dcache - the rpm provided on the web page with
binaries for srm and dcap was built agains glibc 2.4 which wasn't compatible
with slc4 (glibc 2.3). Instead of installing the combined rpm two separate rpms
have been deployed which don't suffer from this problem. The new verison is 1.8.0
(instead of 1.8.0.0)
+ Next actions
- LCG 54f with fixes for POOL and CORAL and updates of externals (Castor, Grid,)
- LCGTEST - a project for integration testing of LCG/AA projects (mainly for nightly builds)
- Leopard builds (we still have a few problems, especially ROOT builds)
- LCG confgiuration web pages finalization
