A new version (v2.2) of the schedule has been put on the web. I gives a better display of the MDs and STOPs for the PS users.

PS report (Ana):

nTOF received first beam last Friday (25/07) and has using beam over the weekend. There are still some instabilities on the PAX radiation monitors, which are being investigated. A short summary of the week:

  • Firday: access for the patrol of TOF facility. Some problems with the BHZ-02 magnet.
  • Monday: Stoper 01 and 02 in F61 transfert line were inserted in the beam following a fault on a PLC, 3 hours without beam. Some problems with the RF.
  • Tuesday: Problem restarting POPS caused a 1/2 hour stop.

n_TOF: (Frank):

Friday n_TOF received first beam, and during the weekend radiation studies in the ISR area where performed. The installed shielding is satisfactory.

A vaccum leak was discovered in the EAR2 vertical beam line. The plan is to work on the EAR2 beam line during day and take data with beam during night at EAR1.

EAST Area (Lau):

After a cooling intervention on magnet BHZ2, 2 magnets didn't restart. It requested an intervetion in the primary area. The East area was stoped during the wednesday MD to allow for work on the IRRAD & CHARM facilities.

The CESAR consoles in the control rooms are now fully operational.

T9 (Heinrich for the LHCb main user):

The new telescope is being commissioned, not with high rates yet.

Cenk for BL4S: The DAQ test setupp is working fine.

Paulo: Next user Atlas NSW ready for  instalation next Thursday. Will need to install a premix Ar/C02 bottle in the gas zone, and metal piping to the micromegas chamber. Exhaust will be done in the hall.

T10 (Andres for the Alice V0+): The FIT detector uses 2 technologies. After the test of the Cherenkov detector, it is now the turn of the electronics and photo-sensor of the scintillation detector.

Tuesday the CMS group will install their RPC detector on the TOF movable table. The beam instrumentation Cherenkov counter will also be installed then.

Safety: Bruno reminded that safety is a personal matter, and thanked the users for good respect of the new PPE regulation in the experimental area.

AOB: Michael presented slide detailing the procedure to operate the new lock system to be installed on the T9 counting room. Over time this lock system will be used also in the north area.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
