Description

The OpenAIRE2020 project (www.openaire.eu), which began at the start of 2015, includes a pilot programme to support the payment of post-grant article processing charges for open access research outputs resulting from projects funded under the EC’s FP7. This poster details the guidelines for this fund, eligibility criteria, and how researchers can access these funds. The poster will also briefly outline other ways in which OpenAIRE2020 is building upon and expanding beyond the achievements of the previous project phases, to explore new avenues for scholarly communication, and supporting research data management. The project has a dedicated task to evaluate new forms of publishing, both formal and informal. It will classify new forms of peer review mechanisms and create a prototype for open review. Also outlined is the task into measuring the impact of open access via alternative metrics, defining principles on which standards should be based. Finally, a legal study which looks into data sharing barriers in the context of the Open Research Data Pilot will be outlined.
