MathWorks SAS

The tutorial will provide a practical experience of the MATLAB/gLite integration achieved in collaboration between Mathworks and the EGEE project. The tutorial will present how parallel MATLAB programs enable you to take advantage of hardware resources, ranging from multicore machines to Grid systems. Attendees will learn to express task- and data-parallelism in the MATLAB language, by using constructs such as parallel-for loops and distributed arrays. Hands-on exercises will allow attendees to interactively develop parallel programs on multicore workstations and then scale these programs to run on the EGEE Grid and the gLite middleware. Notice: For those interested to register, we regret to inform you that the event is currently fully booked. For more information please contact Vangelis Floros.
