Description

Diffuse ultra-high energy gamma radiation can arise from a variety of astrophysical sources. Using the data collected by the KASCADE air shower array, the 90\% C.L. upper limit to the flux of ultra-high energy gamma-rays in the primary cosmic-ray flux is determined from 200 TeV up to 20 PeV. The upper limit on the fraction of gamma-rays to cosmic-rays in energy range 1.5 and 3.7 PeV is the best up to now, which might set some constraints on the model about the orgin of the IceCube neutrino excess.
