Description
We present an overview of the third flight of the NASA-sponsored long-duration balloon payload
known as the Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA). ANITA-III was launched on December
17, 2014, and terminated January 8, 2015, after about 22 days of successful observations at float.
ANITA's primary goal is the search for ultra-high energy neutrinos, but ANITA is also sensitive to
radio impulses from ultra-high energy cosmic ray air showers over Antarctica. We will summarize the
flight operations and data acquired, and present some preliminary highlights of the flight, as well
as the outlook for the fourth ANITA flight, scheduled for late 2016.
