Pere Mato studied physics at University of Barcelona, Spain, where he
obtained the Ph.D. in 1990. He is currently LCG Application Area manager and
leader of he Software for Experiments group at the Physics Department at
CERN. In the past he has contributed to the Aleph and LHCb experiments in
the area of detector operation, DAQ and offline software development.
