Description
A search for a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson produced in association with a pair of b-quarks and decaying to a pair of tau leptons is performed in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDM). The results are based on an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1 at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV accumulated by the CMS experiment at LHC in 2012. Pseudoscalar masses between 25 and 80 GeV are probed in this analysis, while previous di-tau resonance searches have mainly focussed on masses greater than the mass of the Z boson. Light scalar bosons are motivated in 2HDM, even after including all constrains from LEP, Tevatron and LHC Run 1 data results. Upper limits on the production cross-section times branching fraction between 7 and 37 pb are set at 95% confidence level. This search excludes the pseudoscalar Higgs boson in Type 2 of 2HDM with negative Yukawa coupling for masses below 60 GeV.
