Description

In this work we study how the kinetic decoupling of Dark Matter (DM) could improve our knowledge of the properties of the DM protohalos within a Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model, by adopting nine independent parameters (MSSM-9). We study how the size of the smallest DM protohalos correlates to experimental signatures, such as the spin-dependent and spin-independent scattering cross sections, which are related to the direct detection of DM. We show how future direct detection experiments can play an important role in constraining the (most probable) minimal protohalo mass. We also show how the boost of the Luminosity due to Dark Matter annihilation increases, depending on the protohalo mass and the thermal averaged cross section times the relative velocity (between the DM particles).
