Description
With the evolution of transmission technologies, going above 10Gb Ethernet requires a complete renewal of the fibre infrastructure.
In the last year the CERN Datacentre has evolved to deal with the expansion of the physical infrastructure inside and outside the local site, to support higher speeds like 40GbE and 100GbE, to be ready for any other future requirement. We will explain the choice we made at CERN in terms of network infrastructure for our datacentre.
