We agreed that the CORALSERVER-0-1-0 release fulfils the M2 requirements.
The first priority is testing the server in the Atlas framework. As there is high chance that coral server-related binaries can be used with en existing and installed 1.9.7 CORAL release (binary patch), we test it first. We will modify the CoralMessaging, CoralProtocol and CoralAccess modules so that the CoralAccess plugin be loaded as a backend, without unresolved symbols.
We need to execute some tests to figure out why the COOL tests are running much slower with the CoralAccess plugin.
The update CORAL functionality is less important now, however it enables using the existing CORAL tests directly.
We agreed that we need to extend the CORAL test suite to include more read-only tests.
Actions:
- Create a CoralAccess plugin version that may be loaded and used by an existing unmodified CORAL 1.9.7 compilation (Alexander, Zsolt)
- Test the CORALSERVER-0-1-0 in Atlas settings, and send the observations to the CORAL team (Andy)
- Optional task: Create a simple prototype that is able handle the schema manipulating operations, by reusing the (caching) MySQL plugin functionality (Zsolt)
