Description
The Beam Energy Scan (BES) program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion
Collider (RHIC) is mainly focused on a search for the critical point and
the phase boundary in the QCD phase diagram. The first exploratory
phase of the BES program was successfully completed in 2014, with
Au+Au collisions at center-of-mass energies ranging from 7.7 to 200
GeV. In this talk, we report the beam energy dependence of several
observables including directed flow (v1), elliptic flow (v2), nuclear
modification factor (RAA), and multiplicity fluctuations of net-proton,
net-charge and net-kaon. The outlook for the future BES Phase-II
program will also be presented.
