Description
Tiny ERP is a complete ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer
Relationship Management) package. Its main features include accounting (analytic
and financial), production management (MRP), stock management, sales and
purchases management, and much more. Technical features include flexible
workflows, an object relational mapping (on top of PostgreSQL), a dynamically
built GUI, an XML-RPC interface, and reports designable using OpenOffice (final
output is in PDF).
This talk will give a brief introduction about what Tiny ERP is, what it can do
and how it works. The presentation will be divided in two parts. The first part
will present the functionalities and end with a short live demo. The second part
will focus on the technical aspects. It will include a presentation of the
framework, how the different technologies involved (Python, PostgreSQL, XML-RPC,
GTK, ...) are used, and some live demonstration of simple customization.
