This course will mainly be of interest to staff in accelerator laboratories, university departments, FEL and ERL centres and companies manufacturing accelerator equipment. Following introductory lectures on radiation issues, the basic requirements on LINACs and ERLs will be discussed. Undulators and the process of lasing and seeding will then be treated in some detail followed by lectures on various beam dynamic and beam control issues.
