Description
With the terabytes of data stored in relational databases at CERN and great number of critical applications relying on them, the database service is evolving to adapt to changing needs and requirements of its users. The demand is high and the scope is broad. This presentation gives an overview of current state of databases services and new technologies approaching in Oracle to make better use of latest hardware developments. New database management model and technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL) introduced with Database-On-Demand will also be described.
Presenter will be present on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
