Description
Cai and Kim [JHEP02(2005)050] proposed an interpretation of black hole thermodynamics for an expanding universe in Einstein, Gauss-Bonnet and Lovelock gravity. There have been since then numerous applications and interpretions of the entanglement entropy to the universe. In this talk, the recent progress in this direction will be critically reviewed and revisited from the view point of current observational data. In parcular, an emphasis will be put on the relation with the dark energy.
