D. Schulte described various sources of jitter for main and drive beam. Since these errors convert into a luminosity loss they must be kept small. Tolerances were evaluated and strategies were discussed how to meet specifications.
A. Dubrovskiy reported on measurements of the phase stability of the klystrons at CTF3. Pulse to pulse and long term stability were measured behind the RF pulse compressors. The influence of the feedback on slow variations was discussed. The results are promising but not sufficient for CLIC. R. Corsini proposed to repeat the measurements in front of the pulse compressors, since they might spoil the results.
Y. Papaphilippou presented first requirements on the kickers in the pre-damping rings and damping rings. He will continue next week.
