## General News
INDIGO work: confirmation of work planned on Argus but for the second year of the project
* E.g. attribute-based authorization
## Development/Testing Status of New Release (1.7)
systemd issue at CERN: probably a misconfiguration on the test node
Testing @CERN: a few (>= 3) nodes over 10 in the argus alias already upgraded
* No issue so far with umd-preview RPMs
* Plan to ramp up further still this month
* Only corner case: CN containing an internal '/'
* Workaround possible, fix available
* No feedback yet on the NFS backend load improvement due to the new mapping logic
Agreement that release looks ready for general availability: discuss with EGI move to umd4-release
* Rebuild the package with a release number > 0 (used for "internal" testing)
* Release notes and other 1.7 specific documentation: will be in the new documentation at readthedocs.org
* Update reference to documentation site
* Include last fixes
* On EL6, using the existing configuration mechanism (YAIM) will work
* On EL6, a few startup script fixes will be included
New PIP for IOTA CA support (NIKHEF)
* Code ready, testing started
* Expect to have it ready for release by the summer: required for proper support of IOTA CA
* **Becoming urgent**
* Would like to move the code in standard Argus repos
* Extension to the PEP server: probably the easiest is to add it to the PEP server repository (and package) as for other PIPs
* Support of IOTA CA will require a new Argus version that will be available on EL6 and EL7
* No config change from previous version, only RPM upgrade
* Will be part of a release after initial 1.7
Note on activating IOTA CA support
* New PIP is not enough, will also require new PAP policies
* New PIP must be enabled in /etc/argus/pepd/pepd.ini
* In addition it also would need some additions to the /etc/argus/pap/attribute-mappings.ini file, to support (two) new attributes in the simplified policy.
* Without the new PAP policy, PIP activation and updated attribute mapping will no do anything
* Provide the updated pepd.ini and attribute-mappings.ini in the RPM?
Discussion on IOTA CA support for services not using Argus
* Does VOMS need to have a configuration option to enable/disable IOTA support? would be good...
* Need to be per VO
## Documentation
Andrea: looks basically good, needs a bit more review
* Will do it in the next 2 weeks, in time for the final release
When finalized, the old Twiki site gets renamed and hidden, and the old main page will just point to the new site
