Advanced Materials: Part II
- Konstantin Novoselov
Description
The new, exciting field of 2D materials has seen exponential growth since the isolation of graphene, a single atomic layer of carbon atoms, at The University of Manchester in 2004. In this session on Advanced Materials the team of Nobel Prize winner Prof Sir Kostya Novoselov, based at The National Graphene Institute in Manchester, will provide an introduction to advanced materials such as graphene, tungsten disulphide and a range of other 2D materials. ESRs will gain an understanding of the world of 2D atomic materials, including their properties and characteristics, how 2D materials are produced, and their potential applications.
