53rd Karpacz Winter School of Theoretical Physics

The Training School aims at educating Master and PhD students by the leading international experts in the field. The school can admit up to forty participants. The participation fee is 450 EUR (1950 PLN) and should be paid by bank transfer. Full school fee will be charged also in the case of those participants who will not stay for the whole period of the school. The fee covers:

• participation in all the school events
• full board and lodging in a double room (single room: +70 EUR (300 PLN))
• handouts and conference materials
• Wrocław-Karpacz-Wrocław transport

The fee for accompanying person is 400 EUR (1700 PLN).

Students are enouraged to apply for the financial support, which is financed by the THOR COST Action CA15213. The Organizing Committee will select the selected candidates. 34 students will be rewarded with the COST grant (410 EUR). The full registration fee should be paid in advance by the bank transfer. In special cases upon separate arrangements, payment in cash in Karpacz will be possible. Grants will partially reimburse the registration fee and will be paid after the School. According to the COST rules, only trainees from the COST Countries and approved institutions in COST Near Neighbour Countries could apply for the grant.

The grant application should include the following items:

• curriculum vitae including the list of publications
• motivation letter
• support letter written by the trainee supervisor

and should be sent to karp2017@ift.uni.wroc.pl. The deadline for the application submisssion is December 31th 2016. Supported students will be notified by the end of the year.
