LOCATION
Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is located in the Northern region of the country, on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland 70 km (43 mi) south of Helsinki. CONFERENCE VENUE
The conference will take place in the Ungern-Sternberg palace (former residence of Count Ewald Ungern-Sternberg), built at the end of 1860s under the supervision of architect Martin Gropius. The palace is situated on the Toompea hill in Tallinn Old Town (Kohtu 6), and now hosts the Estonian Academy of Sciences. The palace offers a stunning and unique view of the old town of Tallinn. The building is supplied with the required presentation supports and offers a wireless fast internet access.

ARRIVING BY AIRPLANE
Located just 4 km south from the Tallinn City centre, the modern Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport provides excellent facilities and a wide variety of services to meet the demands of all its customers.

Reaching the city centre:
Bus no. 2 leaves from the airport to the city centre and harbour about every 20 minutes, operating from ~6:30 AM until midnight. Single journey tickets can be purchased on board from the driver at the cost of 2 €. The bus stop is located on the level 0 of the airport, accessible through the escalator in the hall. The downtown bus stop, Laikmaa, is located on Laikmaa Street between the Tallink Hotel and the Viru Centre, next to the Sokos Hotel Viru.
The airport is also provided with a Taxi stand on level 1, just outside the main hall. The fare from the airport to the city centre is about €5 to €10.
ARRIVING BY BOAT
The Tallinn-Helsinki sea-line is one of the busiest international passenger routes in the world. Ferries cross the Gulf of Finland between Tallinn and Helsinki several times a day, covering the distance in roughly 2 to 3 hours. From late spring to late autumn, also high-speed vessels operate on the route, reducing the travel time to just an hour and a half. Ferries between Tallinn and Stockholm depart every evening, with the journey taking approximately 15 hours. Passenger terminals are located at short distance from the Old Town.

The D-terminal serves Tallink ferries and high-speed vessels to/from Helsinki and Tallink ferries to/from Stockholm.
From the harbour to the city:
Bus no. 2 departs from the harbour A-terminal to the city centre and airport approximately every 30 minutes from 7 am until midnight. Single journey tickets can be purchased on board, from the driver, and cost 2 €. A taxi ride from the terminal to the city centre costs about €5 up to €10.
