Travelling by train
Direct trains from Amsterdam Central Station to Woerden leave twice an hour, at approximately 19 and 49 minutes past the hour.
If the direct train times are not convenient, there are also two indirect trains per hour, which require you to change at Utrecht Central. They leave at approximately 25 and 55 minutes past the hour.
The journey by train takes between 40 and 48 minutes. Once you have arrived at the station, it is a six minute walk to Kasteel Woerden. Exit the station via the north exit and continue straight ahead accross Stationsweg. Follow the road to the left at Oostdam, walking alongside the water. The route will eventually bend round to the left, at which point you will see Kasteel Woerden on your lefthand side.
Travelling by car
Woerden is also easily accessible by car and there are plenty of paid and unpaid parking possibilities in and around Kasteel Woerden.
From Amsterdam, head south on the A2 for 17 kilometres, before taking exit 5 towards Breukelen. At the first roundabout, take the second exit towards Breukelerwaard/de Provincialeweg/de N401. At the next roundabout, take the second exit towards Ingenieur Enschedeweg/de N212. Follow the road until is turns into the N405 and then follow signs for Woerden.
The total journey takes just under one hour.
