Description
I will discuss the dynamics of a probe D3-brane propagating in a warped string
compactification. I will focus in the exploration of the trajectories obtained from
giving the brane angular momentum in the extra dimensions. I will show that, in
general, angular momentum creates a centrifugal barrier, causing bouncing as well as
cyclic cosmologies from a "mirage" point of view. I will also comment on how these
results get modified once the effects of coupling the brane action to gravity, are
taken into account.
