beers and brains Split - Peristil square
Split - Peristil square
http://lvxor.hrThis event will happen in the Peristil - central square of the Diocletian Palace in Split (http://www.visitsplit.com/en/528/peristyle-peristil), in the pub called Lvxor. The idea is to get all participants together for the networking, but also to invite local people and tourists as well to discuss the physics with us.
In the spirit of outreach, we will advertise this informal gathering also as an opportunity to meet and greet particle physicist. We plan not to have a any long talks or movie presentations, but small discussions, one to one, or in small groups to give people the opportunity to ask, what they never dared asking before. It could be nice and helpful to have some pictures or material to show around (i.e. photographs from CERN or your latest scientific result), but it is not necessary. It's also completely fine if you want to come along to just to talk to your colleagues as also a demonstration of "physicists at work" might be interesting enough.
It's not quite clear, how many interested people will come but we will see and hope, it will be an enjoyable evening for everyone.
