- The nightly build system now supports icc 11 builds. The compiler and environment are provided by OpenLab, including a license through the flex mechanism. The runtime environment for the compiler is currently provided via LCG_BuildPolicy but can be extended e.g. to a "cmt action" (~ "cmt compilersetup). Hubert mentioned that the same runtime environment could be achieved via a LCG_Interfaces package.
- A request to study Python 2.6.2 was made by Atlas developers. This is currently only intended to check performance improvements of the 2.6 series over 2.5. SPI will provide an installation of Python 2.6.2 in the external area and setup a new slot of the nightly builds with this Python version which then can be picked up by interested developers.
- A new Roofit from the upcoming ROOT 5.25.02 release will be built agains ROOT 5.22.00x. This is a candidate for the next patch LCG Configuration
- Python 2.5.4p2 has been installed in the LCG external area. This fixes https://savannah.cern.ch/bugs/?48271 and is a candidate to be included into the next LCG patch configuration.
- A new nighties slot with ROOT 5.24-patches has been setup in order to ease the migration to the last ROOT production version.
- A new gcc 4.4.1 has been installed in external area

- Atlas online might use CORALSERVER and CORAL for HLT. Andrea and Emil will follow up whether a new LCG Configuration needs to be deployed or we can patch the current installation of Atlas HLT.

- Started to work on validation on slc5 architectures. Amd64 has problems with segfaults. Running also big statistics and bit by bit verification on smaller level.
- Looking into Python 2.6 for slc5
- Looking into gcc 4.3.4 - if no surprises will be used as the slc5 compiler
